What we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, company name, and a password (stored as a salted hash — we never store or see your plaintext password).

API usage. We record aggregate usage per API key (request counts and ZIP codes screened per day) to power your usage dashboard and enforce plan limits. We do not store the individual ZIP lists you query.

Technical data. Our hosting providers log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and operations.

What we don't collect

We do not collect or process information about your customers. ZIP codes you screen are geographic identifiers, not personal data, and are not retained after your request completes.

How we use it

To provide the service, show you your usage, enforce plan limits, communicate with you about your account, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

Service providers

We run on Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database). Event data originates from public US government sources (National Weather Service, FEMA, US Census Bureau).

Data retention & deletion

Account and usage data are retained while your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, contact privacy@zipawa.com.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in to your dashboard. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
